I haven't figured this out yet . . .
I’m not much for sequels, but while having another truck battle with G today, my stated beliefs from three days ago were reaffirmed.
We have a truck battle about once a week, on average, and G always picks his biggest, toughest, most solid monster truck, while I get stuck with a slightly smaller pickup. After countless losses, G seems to have finally learned that the truck he usually gives me is not crappy enough for me to lose with. So he ingeniously gave me a truck that is literally designed to crumple when you crash into it.
I’m pretty proud of G for finding such a creative solution to his losing problem. He hated losing, so he came up with a way to tip the odds in his favor, and it worked. That truck he gave me was pathetic.
Losing is an important experience to have. It makes us creative and inspires innovation. No one likes to sit contentedly by while someone else dominates. No one maybe except for Pepsi, that is.
