I haven't figured this out yet . . .
We were at Target today and I about flipped out at the opportunity to take a picture of C with Yoda. G flipped out too, because when he turned the corner and saw this scene, he started screaming, “Yoda! Yoda! Yoda! Yoda! Darth Vader! Yoda!” I don’t know how Darth Vader managed to creep in, but those seem to be his two favorite characters even though he hasn’t seen the movies, only bits and pieces.
This is my second, and certainly not the last, mention of Star Wars. I’m seriously considering taking G to see Phantom Menace in the theaters because he might actually sit through it quietly. If I do, there will certainly be a post to commemorate it.
C’s nonchalance at being seated next to a Yoda pillow that’s almost as big as her was a little disappointing, but that may be because she’s part Yoda herself. It’s a little creepy how similar their eyes are.
Yoda would have come home with us, but I can’t justify paying twenty dollars for a Yoda that resembles the stupid cartoon, rather than movie version Yoda. If you can’t tell the difference, you’re either not nerdy enough, or not a big enough Star Wars fan.
